Personnel Security Specialist

As a Personnel Security Specialist - Jr, you will provide personnel security and administrative support to a Department of Defense customer supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office mission. In this role, you will help maintain personnel security records, track security actions, coordinate with government and contractor personnel, and support reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information while supporting mission-critical security operations in a fast-paced environment. In This Role, You Will: Support personnel security activities, including documentation review, records management, tracking, and administrative coordination. Maintain personnel security files, databases, rosters, trackers, and related program documentation. Review personnel security documentation for completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with government, Serco, and contractor personnel to support timely completion of personnel security actions. Track personnel security requests, investigations, clearances, and related actions to ensure deadlines are met. Assist with preparing correspondence, reports, briefings, and status updates related to personnel security activities. Support meeting preparation, data calls, suspense tracking, and recurring reporting requirements. Maintain accurate records in accordance with applicable government regulations, policies, and program requirements. Safeguard sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality. Support audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and information requests as required. To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have: U.S. Citizenship. Bachelor's degree required; an associate degree plus four (4) additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Six (6) years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 0-3 years of relevant professional experience supporting personnel security, administration, records management, compliance activities, or related functions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and meet established deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, and Clearance Prior experience working in a secure facility preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Active Top-Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility or access preferred. Prior experience supporting personnel security, security administration, or related security operations preferred. Ability to work onsite in Arlington, VA, Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Preferred Experience Experience working in a Security Countermeasure environment. Current active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance. Experience supporting Department of Defense personnel security programs and processes. Experience maintaining security files, personnel records, clearance trackers, and related documentation. Experience preparing reports, correspondence, briefings, and administrative documentation. Experience supporting meetings, data calls, and action item tracking. Strong customer service and stakeholder coordination skills. Familiarity with the F-35 Joint Program Office or similar Department of Defense environments is a plus. Work Environment This position is performed on-site in Arlington, VA. Regular attendance during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, is required. Position supports a professional government and contractor team environment.
