Insurance Billing Specialist

My name is Kim Kilgrow and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group . We are a staffing firm and are currently seeking a Insurance Billing Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position will be located in Livermore, CA 94550. Details of the position are as follows: Job Details: Pay: $25-27/hr 6+ month assignment - Potential for extension or conversion based onperformance and budget. Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm PST (Must be able to commit to working these hours) Key Responsibilities: Configure and maintain payor plans, reimbursement methodologies, fee schedules, contractual allowances, and billing rules. Implement new payor contracts and update existing configurations based on contract amendments and reimbursement changes. Support Billing, VOB, Prior Authorization, and Collections teams with insurance research and payer-related inquiries. Investigate claim status issues and assist in identifying payer-related root causes affecting reimbursement. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Degree is a plus. Working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and / or managed care insurance plans is required. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance, revenue cycle management, eligibility verification, billing, or insurance data management.
