About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Neurology – North Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend requirement (5-6 weekend shifts per contract), 13-20 week assignments accepted

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with 6-7 patient ratios preferred
• Neurology experience preferred; NIH stroke scale competency highly valued
• Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed
• Charge nurse experience or willingness to learn the charge role preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Completion of 8-10 hours of pre-start modules online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
