JOB DESCRIPTION
Hours on 1st shift are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, but flexible


Individual contributors who provide support services to complete daily business activities (e.g. administrative, clerical, technical, production or trade levels.) The majority of time is spent in the delivery of services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside of this career track typically require experience, additional education, and/or licensure/certification.


This job family coordinates, integrates, and administers a range of diverse administrative or staff functions. Areas of responsibility include delivering administrative and related support services to the organization; managing reception, greeting guests/visitors, issuing security passes, receiving and relaying telephone messages from internal and external sources; providing office mailroom support; vehicle fleet administration; document management; managing, planning, repairing, and maintaining the organization's facilities and assets; maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds in clean/hygienic condition; ensuring safety and security of the organization's employees, clients, visitors and property; and managing the operations of the library network and associated services.


Positions in this sub-family are responsible for providing administrative and secretarial services to the organization. Activities include producing documents, collecting, recording, sorting, and filing information, handling mail, preparing routine reports, making travel arrangements, arranging appointments, responding to inquiries, and operating office equipment. Also includes responsibilities for reception/telephone/switchboard and greeting visitors.


Overview: Individual contributor that works under close supervision; follows established processes to perform routine tasks. Typically has limited to no prior knowledge or qualification.


Purpose: Follows routines to achieve day-to-day objectives.


Qualifications/ Experience: Work requires limited to no job knowledge. Typically requires no prior experience.


Problem Solving: Tasks are routine or well defined, problems have standardized solutions.


Management & Supervision: Works under close supervision with detailed instructions or standard procedures to complete all daily work activities.
