Grants Specialist

Overview Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. We are seeking a Senior Consultant to help DOT consolidate and improve its grants system. The Senior Consultant will have strong experience with process improvement and the federal grants lifecycle to support DOT in improving its grant process. Responsibilities Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements Identify, analyze, and improve business processes Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews; develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance Identify and manage project risks and issues Develop detailed status reports for individual programs Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" Based on contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and be a US Citizen 5+ years of federal grants, process improvement, or management consulting experience, preferably within the public sector Experience with federal grants programs Experience working with the federal government Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel This is a hybrid role requiring some days in the Guidehouse office and/or client site What Would Be Nice To Have Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizations PMP, Agile or other project or program management certification What We Offer Guidehouse offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.
