Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Director of PopQuIS, Program faculty, and designated mentors, the Postdoctoral Associate conducts specialized research, literature review, and integrates a primary care framework to improve population and public health in the United States. The project focuses on priority areas: Maternal Morbidity and Child Health; Quality of Health and Healthcare; Mental Health Access and Care; Health Equity; and COVID‑19. Job Requirements: The position may be funded through the T32 training program; candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident in accordance with T32 guidelines. Responsibilities Work with the PI and others to develop a career‑development plan with training and educational goals for the fellowship period. Develop, propose, and obtain approval for a mentored research project to be completed during fellowship. Conduct, complete, and disseminate the research project that contributes to the primary‑care research enterprise at Rutgers and in the United States. Participate in focused educational and leadership development activities to prepare for a career as a leader in the primary‑care research enterprise. Participate in clinical activities as appropriate for career development and consistent with qualifications. Contribute to research, administration, and dissemination activities related to primary‑care research or relevant methods. Salary Details Minimum Salary: $20,000 Mid‑Range Salary: $90,000 Maximum Salary: $200,000 The final salary offer may be determined by candidate’s qualifications, experience, expertise, and availability of department or grant funds. Compensation will be commensurate with university structures and market benchmarks. Qualifications U.S. citizens or permanent residents with MD, PhD, DrPH, or other eligible doctoral degrees seeking leadership in primary‑care research. Individuals in ABD (all but degree) status are also considered. Clinicians and non‑clinicians, including social scientists and public health professionals with doctoral degrees, may be hired. Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing; no special vision requirements; able to lift up to 25 pounds; ability to communicate via virtual meeting software, phone, and email. Work Environment: Must pass employee health clearance, TB test, and required safety training; clinical or office environment with moderate noise.
