Production Associate Food Manufacturing

Production Associates are needed for a food manufacturing facility in Akron, OH. This is a fast-paced production environment focused on packaging and manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for candidates who are dependable, have excellent attendance, enjoy working as part of a team, and are comfortable in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Location: Akron, OH Start Date: July 20, 2026 Pay Rate: $18.00/hr Schedule: Monday Saturday, 6:00 AM 7:00 PM

Actual start and end times will vary based on production demands. Overtime Mandatory. Employees must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and additional shifts as needed to meet production schedules.

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work on production and packaging lines
• Package products according to quality standards
• Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
• Assist with material handling and inventory movement
• Perform packing and assembly line duties
• Remove trash and maintain a clean work environment
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures
• Support production goals and meet daily output requirements
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (1012+ hours when production requires).
• Comfortable performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and extended shifts.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance are required.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Dress Code & PPE

• Clean clothing required
• Closed-toe shoes required
• No open-toe shoes, sandals, or Crocs
• PPE will be provided by the client

Work Environment

• Fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Refrigerated production rooms with occasional freezer exposure.
• Standing for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
• Production schedules may require 1012+ hour shifts and mandatory overtime.
