Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• At least two years recent experience in field: Required
• Current BLS certification: Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
• Collects and analyzes relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Implements care plans and evaluates progress towards outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide safe and compassionate care.
• Participates in discharge planning for continuity of care.
