Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Develop and implement a plan of care, intervene to achieve outcomes, and evaluate progress toward goals.
- Gather and analyze assessment data; identify outcomes and adjust the plan as needed; educate patients, families, and treatment teams.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe, healing, and respectful environment; contribute to continuous improvement and performance expectations.

Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care or emergency department experience preferred.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting and to function effectively in a night-shift role.
