Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to transition from public accounting into industry or continue building a career within investment management. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation with either: 3+ years of public accounting experience serving investment management, private equity, hedge fund, or alternative investment clients, or Current fund accounting experience within an investment manager, fund administrator, or similar financial services organization. This role offers strong exposure to fund operations, financial reporting, and investment accounting while providing excellent work-life balance, career growth, and a competitive total compensation package. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with fund and management company accounting, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries. Support the month-end and year-end close process. Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits. Review capital activity, investment transactions, and partnership allocations. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Partner with operations, investor relations, tax, and portfolio management teams on various accounting initiatives. Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls. Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as the firm continues to grow. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of accounting experience . Experience in one of the following: Public accounting with investment management, private equity, hedge fund, venture capital, or asset management clients. Fund accounting within an investment manager or fund administrator. Strong understanding of GAAP. Advanced Excel skills. CPA or CPA-track is a plus but not required. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. What’s Offered Base salary of $100,000–$130,000 , depending on experience.
