Ministry Coordinator for CEF of Maryland Inc., Southern Maryland Chapter

$18-$20 per hour The Southern Maryland Chapter is seeking a ministry-minded individual called to fill a part-time or full-time position of Ministry Coordinator under the CEF of Maryland Inc state office. General Responsibilities A ministry coordinator plans, executes, and supervises Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) ministries, such as Good News Club and 5-Day Club . The role requires organizational skills, planning, analysis, and the ability to motivate others by promoting CEF programs within churches, community organizations, and schools. Specific Responsibilities Lead prayer initiatives, developing and growing a local prayer program. Build and maintain church partnerships to fulfill CEF's mission of evangelizing, discipling, and establishing the next generation in faith. Identify, enlist, and develop volunteers and staff to serve effectively in ministry. Engage in direct ministry with children to understand their needs and evaluate program effectiveness. Identify potential Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) summer missionaries, participate in CYIA as assigned, and support its success. Drive efforts to develop and improve ministry effectiveness throughout the chapter. Leadership Collaborate with the local committee to set vision and strategic plans for evangelism and discipleship, partnering with local churches. Lead volunteers with encouragement, counsel, and guidance. Assist volunteers in setting and evaluating ministry goals. Participate in fundraising efforts, including securing funding for the coordinator’s salary. Develop leadership skills among volunteers and summer missionaries. Oversee and evaluate teacher training programs. Administrative Ensure compliance with CEF policies and proper governance. Maintain accurate records. Develop and submit annual budgets for approval. Manage reports, communications, donations, and receipts. Communicate chapter status to leadership. Attend all required state office meetings. Qualifications Seeking a committed Christian who demonstrates faith, character, and a cheerful disposition. Must believe in God's calling, pray daily, and have a passion for reaching children with the Gospel. Requirements include:

• Leadership qualities as in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Love for Jesus Christ, prayer, and evangelism
• Continual learning, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
• Valuing the local church and Christian organizations
• Ability to identify leaders, organize groups, and evaluate programs
• Previous experience in children’s ministry, church, or nonprofit work is preferred.
