Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Generalist / Manager to step in for an immediate temporary role covering a Leave of Absence through October. We are hiring immediately, with the position starting within the next two weeks. In this role, you will manage day-to-day HR operations, act as a trusted partner to leadership, champion a positive workplace culture, and ensure seamless employee relations and compliance during this interim period. Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders to provide expert guidance on performance management, coaching, policy interpretation, and workplace dynamics

• Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters with empathy, speed, and discretion

• Support managers through coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations aligned with best practices and company policies

• Lead end-to-end onboarding and orientation to deliver a seamless welcoming experience for new hires

• Process new hires and manage complete I-9 compliance within ADP

• Submit weekly payroll for multiple entities via ADP

• Administer employee benefits programs, manage 401(k) eligibility rollouts, and process PFL and disability claims through our carrier

• Maintain hyper-accurate HR files, personnel records, and compliance documentation

• Ensure strict adherence to federal, New York State, and local labor laws and employment regulations

• Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and improve operational efficiency

• Support recruitment and interviewing efforts as needed to keep staffing seamless
