Digital Verification Engineer Expert

ASIC Engineer (Digital Verification Engineer Expert (P4)) We are looking for an expert digital verification engineer to support the Wavelogic family of products used in our optical fiber transmission solutions. The role will be based in our Rochester, NY office and involves collaboration with digital design engineers, verification engineers, and architects. Responsibilities Propose and implement innovative verification strategies to validate functional blocks, cores, and subsystems. Quickly understand project architecture and requirements to communicate effectively with systems engineers and architects. Perform complete and detailed validation of entire subsystems using simulation, formal, and coverage methods. Create, review, and optimize simulation environment components, test case scenarios, and functional coverage and formal verification test plans. Lead focused groups or mentor individuals as needed, managing their priorities to achieve objectives. Estimate and track project schedules, providing clear status updates at regular intervals. Participate in architectural and design reviews, advising on verification impacts and improvements for schedule and coverage. Coordinate with partner teams to ensure overall Serdes coverage. Qualifications – Must Haves Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific field. Expert-level experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, SVA, and major vendor simulators. Proven ability to develop comprehensive digital verification and coverage strategies. Strong self‑starter, capable of working independently and as a teammate. Methodical and skilled at debugging sophisticated technical problems. Excellent organizational, written, and oral English communication skills. Optional Assets Experience with formal verification methods, DSP, and/or Forward Error Correction. Familiarity with Jira, GIT, and source code management. Programming knowledge in Python, Make, Bash, C, C++, and object‑oriented programming. Salary & Benefits Annual salary range: $147,100 – $234,900.
