Overview Commercial Business Development Representative / Producer Job Summary: Seeking motivated and driven individuals to join a growing Commercial Sales team as a Business Development Representative with a path to becoming a Producer, or as an experienced Producer. This is an excellent opportunity to develop commercial insurance sales expertise, build client relationships, and contribute to the growth of a commercial insurance department. Responsibilities Prospect and develop new commercial insurance business opportunities. Collaborate with experienced producers to schedule appointments, participate in client meetings, and develop consultative sales skills. Participate in training programs to build expertise in commercial insurance products, risk management solutions, and sales strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. Identify client needs and recommend appropriate commercial insurance solutions. Maintain an active sales pipeline and document activities within the agency management system. For experienced candidates, manage and grow an existing book of business while delivering exceptional client service. Work closely with leadership and team members to support departmental growth initiatives. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and insurance products. Meet or exceed established sales and business development goals. Qualifications / Requirements Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license or has the ability to obtain one. Previous experience in sales, business development, insurance, or a related field is preferred. Experience with Applied EPIC is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills. Coachable with a strong desire to learn and develop professionally. Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance objectives. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $65,000 annually during the training period, with commission opportunities. Flexible compensation structures available for experienced candidates.
