Registered Nurse - Oncology - F/T Nights

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills to provide effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You’ll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Requirements Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
