About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; one year of travel experience needed License: Active RN license in compliance with NLC guidelines Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Med-Surg experience Description: This position is for a medical-surgical overflow unit. Candidates will work with post-surgical and observation patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:6 to 1:7. The unit is transitioning to a team nursing model, and LPNs will be hired to assist in this transition. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role. On-call shifts may be required as needed. Weekend shifts will be required as needed, with a rotation schedule. A block schedule cannot be accommodated, but weekend block may be considered. Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible. Pending licenses are not accepted; all travelers must be compliant with NLC guidelines. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Requested time off submitted after an offer will not be considered. The facility has strict compliance requirements, so ensure candidates meet all qualifications before application. Travelers may be floated to like units if necessary. This position requires experience with telemetry and IV start skills.
