Job Overview Title: Speech‑Language Pathologist Consultant Company: J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center Location: Warwick, NY – Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Center Schedule: Flexible to meet program needs; 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech‑language assessments for clients, evaluating communication abilities, speech production, language comprehension, and related skills. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing specific needs and goals of each client. Collaborate with occupational therapists, ABA therapists, and other professionals to integrate speech‑language services into the overall care plan. Provide training and guidance to staff on communication techniques, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and related topics. Consult with clients’ families to educate them about speech‑language goals and strategies supporting progress at home. Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and contribute to ongoing program development. Qualifications Current certification and licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Rhode Island. Minimum of 3 years of experience in speech‑language therapy, with a focus on pediatric, autism diagnosis, or developmental disabilities preferred. Strong understanding of speech‑language development and communication disorders. Experience with AAC devices and techniques is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
