Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Training Graduate in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will engage respectfully with employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation headquarters location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
