The Role We’re looking for a Business Development Intern to support outbound prospecting, market research, and sales operations while learning the full BDR workflow. You’ll help identify target accounts, create outreach lists, draft messaging, track activity in our CRM, and support meetings with decision-makers. This internship is hands‑on and designed to give you real responsibility plus mentorship from our leadership team. Responsibilities Research target industries and build account/contact lists. Draft and run outbound sequences (emails, LinkedIn, light calling) with coaching and templates. Qualify inbound and outbound leads; capture notes and next steps in the CRM. Assist with sales materials: one‑pagers, case snapshots, talk tracks, and meeting prep. Maintain accurate data in HubSpot/Apollo and help improve workflows. Track weekly KPIs (outreach volume, replies, meetings set) and share insights. Learning Outcomes How to define an ICP and build a repeatable outbound engine. CRM hygiene, pipeline stages, and meeting‑setting tactics. Messaging fundamentals for engaging with executives. How staffing/recruiting solutions are sold B2B. Requirements Current college student in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or related field. Able to work ~20 hours/week in San Diego (primarily onsite; partial remote possible). Strong writing skills; confident with Google Workspace. Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Nice to Have: Prior internship/campus experience in sales, SDR/BDR, recruiting, or outreach. Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or CRM tools.
