Part-Time Farmer's Market Associates - West Shore Farmer's Market

Job Description

Part-time Farmer's Market Associate positions available at our West Shore Farmers' Market stand. Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays 8–9-hour shifts. Employees receive free lunches and employee discounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with weekly market stand setup
Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
Answer all customer questions and address concerns
Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
Handle all transactions with accuracy
Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)

Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of retail experience desired
Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive and friendly attitude
Reliable and punctual
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
