Packing Operator - 2nd Shift-1

Position Summary The Packaging Operator I is responsible for packaging of flavors (powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions and extracts) per directions on each batch ticket. This role works closely with the Batch Compounders to package batches, prioritizing food safety, quality, efficiency and accuracy. The operator fills production orders from equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks, accurately fills the required packaging type, reads and applies labels, and follows safety procedures. The role ensures packaging of the correct finished product quantity with appropriate label requirements. Roles and Responsibilities Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents. Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning. Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently. Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in making our products. Promptly observe and clearly communicate food or other product quality matters to Shift Leads or Management. Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies. Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. Consume required materials using RF scanner and accurately report batch quantities. Attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary. Follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear required PPE. Problem‑solving and communication skills to recognize and report issues. Ability to work overtime when necessary. Ability to learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures. Ability to learn and consistently complete required documentation and record‑keeping requirements.
