Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their veterinary team. This role involves working with cats and dogs in a well-established small animal hospital, delivering high-quality care while supporting and developing a collaborative clinical environment. Role Description and Responsibilities The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while delivering comprehensive veterinary care including wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Responsibilities include overseeing clinical protocols, mentoring veterinarians, supporting team development, and collaborating with leadership on hospital operations and growth. The role also involves client communication, case management, maintaining medical records, and ensuring high standards of care across all patient interactions. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality medicine. Practice Details The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on weekends. It is a full-service facility offering preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, dental care, and soft tissue surgery. The clinic features an in-house diagnostic laboratory, surgical suites, and online appointment booking, supporting efficient workflows and patient care. Services include routine exams, vaccinations and prevention, emergency and sick care, dental procedures, internal medicine, geriatric care, spaying and neutering, and mass removal. The practice emphasizes compassionate, client-focused care and a strong reputation within the community. Team The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a tenured and experienced support staff, creating a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
