Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of industrial and commercial construction projects, with emphasis on storage facilities and educational buildings. The role will assist the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements. The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring across industrial, commercial and storage facility projects.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities, liaise with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work proceeds according to plan.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
• Track project budgets, process invoices, and assist with cost control measures to help ensure projects remain within financial targets.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety compliance and adherence to specifications; report and follow up on deficiencies.
• Help manage procurement activitiessolicit quotes, evaluate vendors, and track material deliveries to support construction timelines.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders including owners, design teams and regulatory authorities to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
• Support commissioning and closeout activities, including punch-list completion, turnover documentation, and warranty handover.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying risks, proposing mitigation actions, and suggesting process improvements for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; relevant certifications or equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in construction or project coordination, preferably with exposure to industrial, commercial, storage, or educational projects.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes and industry safety standards (OSHA or local equivalent).
• Proficient with scheduling and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients, subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions and project needs.
• Valid drivers license; field presence at job sites required. PMP, CCM, or OSHA certifications are a plus.
