Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a busy obstetric unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics, neonatal care, and labor management, with the ability to adapt to various clinical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient safety by monitoring fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and other obstetric emergencies.
• Administer medications and perform interventions in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Circulate during C-section procedures and assist the surgical team as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current active California RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in labor and delivery, with EPIC EHR system proficiency.
• Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage both low and high-risk obstetric patients, including neonates.
• Be willing to work night shifts, weekends, and most holidays.
• Must have advanced EKG interpretation skills with a minimum of 80% score.
