Data Systems Engineer

Description Leidos is looking for a Data Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI with polygraph. The Data Systems Engineer is an integral member of a government/contractor team supporting our customer's operations organization. This role requires an individual with technical experience administering Linux servers within a virtual environment. The role requires implementing security compliance for the systems. The individual’s work encompasses interfacing with advanced systems, with data processing capabilities across a multi-network environment.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and approximately 4+ years of experience. At least four (4) years of recent experience implementing systems processes and/or software development methodologies, planning, designing and analyzing functional system processes - either hardware or software-based systems. Active TS/SCI with Poly is required. Candidates who do not currently possess a TS/SCI with Polygraph will not be considered. Demonstrated experience with Linux system administration and engineering. Demonstrated technical skills to implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) security controls on RHEL systems. Experience maintaining operational security posture for information systems and performing day-to-day security operations of the system, to include scans and security audits. Experience providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Desired: Experience and a demonstrated record of success developing and implementing innovative solutions for a diverse range of highly complex multi-disciplinary problems and devising corrective actions where necessary. Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and PKI enablement systems. Experience with container and virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, or RedHat Virtualization. Experience working with both users and developers to properly capture and translate system use cases to technical requirements. Experience investigating and documenting existing system architectures.
