PROGRAM ANALYST

Job Description

You will develop and interpret military personnel policy, analyze DON strategy and policy recommendations, develop goals and milestones for the accomplishment of new initiatives, and monitor and oversee assigned policies and programs.

You will respond to inquiries and prepare products to Congress, field activities, special interest groups, and federal, state and local agencies on policy formulation and interpretation, program statistical data, status updates and funding issues.

You will analyze and evaluate policy, programs and budget for the DON Secretariat, provide advice to senior leadership on manpower and personnel policies and objectives, and ensure the effective and efficient implementation of personnel programs.

You will provide technical and analytical advice and support in portfolio responsibilities, manage the research and analysis portfolio, and implement studies to inform short and long-term military manpower and personnel policies and objectives.

You will design and execute research and analyses affecting the Navy and Marine Corps, build and use models to address issues/problem areas in military personnel policy, and plan, organize and lead others in carrying out complex research activities.
