Irrigation Technician
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Rogers, MN

Pay: $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Ironwood Outdoor (landscaping and snow removal company) is seeking a reliable and skilled Irrigation Technician.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and optimization of commercial and residential irrigation systems, including essential seasonal preparation tasks.

• Standard work hours are generally 7:00 am to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday.
• Fridays are reserved for weather contingencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete seasonal servicing, including spring start-ups, mid-season checks, and fall winterizations (blowouts).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system components, including leaks, broken heads, valves, wiring faults, and controller malfunctions.
• Adjust spray patterns and drip lines to maximize water efficiency and ensure optimal landscape health.
• Accurately track materials and labor for work orders and maintain professional, clear communication with clients and team leads regarding service execution and recommendations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in irrigation service or repair is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all irrigation system components.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented work ethic.
