• 2 years of experience in labor/delivery or high-risk OB.
• Ability to perform vaginal exams.
• Willingness to float to postpartum as needed.

Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevents illness and injury. Alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocates in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice. Maintains professional development in accordance with nursing practice acts and policies. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Manages a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse when designated. Educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilizes knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. Shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. Complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Actively participates in support of nursing governance models. Engages in professional development and completes mandatory education. Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Follows organizational values. Performs other duties as assigned.
