The Sales Representative will be responsible for building relationships with local banks, CPA’s and other COI’s to create referral sources while also engaging in a strong degree of direct prospecting through cold calling, foot canvassing and current client prospecting. The Sales Representative will be in a highly consultative role as they meet with potential clients and will be responsible for developing a full set of solutions to meet their business needs. Compensation: Competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions and bonuses that allow for first year representatives to make $50K – $75K Additional reimbursement: Cell phone allowance & expense reimbursements Duties and Responsibilities: Selling Payroll Services and HR solutions such as Workers Compensation, Time & Attendance systems, Human Resources, and Employee Benefits. Develop referral relationships with CPAs, Banks, and Financial Advisors. Prospect small and medium sized businesses to sell payroll and human resource products and services through cold calling, foot canvassing, and networking. Cross-selling to existing base of clients. Attend weekly networking activities. Set several sales appointments weekly with potential new and existing clients. Provide product demos and initial training to new clients Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. Emphasize salable features, quote prices and prepare sales contracts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining a base of payroll clients Contact clients daily to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deduction Accurately keys all payroll related information to process payroll Responsible for meeting client payroll and tax dates Maintains a high rate of client retention through quality customer service Researches and resolves client / system problems Constant continuing education to keep up with current tax and payroll law Performs other work related duties as assigned Experience The ideal candidate for this position would possess: Solid understanding and knowledge of payroll processes and payroll tax law Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills High level of professionalism Proficiencywith PC and Microsoft Office products We promote employees from within.
