Microsoft Office Document Evaluation Specialist

Help improve AI-generated business documents by evaluating Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files for accuracy, usability, and professional presentation. You will compare candidate office-file outputs side by side and provide structured feedback that informs future model performance. Key Responsibilities

• Open and inspect downloaded Excel (.xlsx), Word (.docx), and PowerPoint (.pptx) files.
• Compare two candidate responses and select the one that best meets the task requirements.
• Evaluate content and rendering, including layout, formatting, visual structure, formulas, and overall presentation.
• Score AI-generated documents using structured rubrics.
• Provide written feedback for the research team.
• Attend onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.

• At least 3 years of professional experience creating and reviewing office documents, such as in financial analysis, modeling, FP&A, consulting, investment banking, private equity, equity research, accounting, auditing, business analysis, or operations.
• Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas, charts, and conditional formatting.
• Strong Word skills, including long-form drafting, formatting, styling, templates, tables, and track changes.
• Strong PowerPoint skills, including slide design, layout, data visualization, and brand-consistent presentations.
• Ability to independently open, navigate, and visually inspect downloaded files on your own machine.
• Excellent written communication, close attention to detail, and a strong eye for formatting and presentation quality.

• Expertise across Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience creating reusable templates, style guides, or document standards.
• Experience in finance, consulting, operations, or executive support where document quality is critical.
• Experience comparing or quality-checking documents for formatting fidelity and consistency.

• Remote, hourly engagement.
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with 20 or more hours preferred.
• Immediate start, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

$70 to $100 per hour.

You must own and use the full desktop Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to produce and inspect all deliverables. Google Workspace, LibreOffice, and other Office-compatible or third-party alternatives are not accepted.
