Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Our client is looking for a hands-on Staff Accountant who wants more than just a transactional accounting role. This position offers the opportunity to learn every aspect of the accounting function, partner directly with leadership, and help drive process improvements as the organization continues to grow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Support annual audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Help streamline and modernize accounting workflows through process improvements and automation.
• Participate in accounting activities related to future business growth and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support international reporting and communication initiatives as needed.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to full-cycle accounting
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small-company environment
• Strong Excel skills
• Process-improvement mindset with a desire to modernize and automate manual workflows
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Positive, team-first attitude and strong cultural fit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting audits
• Experience with ERP systems
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred, not required
