Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physical Therapist to join our talented team in Williamsburg, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in facilitating rehabilitation and recovery for our patients, helping them to restore mobility and enhance their physical performance. As a provider primarily serving individuals with private medical insurance, our mission is to optimize patients' health through targeted rehabilitation strategies and evidence-based practices. Our collaborative environment includes two seasoned physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all committed to patient-centered care.

Work Environment

This position is onsite and uniquely involves home care services, allowing you to work directly with patients in their own environments. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering you a balanced work-life dynamic. With an active patient caseload, you will have the opportunity to implement advanced therapeutic techniques while being supported by a team that values professional growth and ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish and fulfill the objectives and requirements of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring dedicated and personalized treatment.
• Utilize your prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings to deliver high-quality care.
• Administer innovative, cost-effective therapies aimed at enhancing clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Advocate for non-surgical treatments by minimizing reliance on medications wherever possible.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's needs and health goals.
• Encourage patient motivation and provide ongoing support to optimize functionality and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Foster a holistic approach to health by promoting improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage in collaboration and consultation with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Regularly evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on documented progress.
• Maintain meticulous records of the services provided and patient interactions through electronic medical records (EMR) software.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals seeking rehabilitation due to orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recoveries, and chronic pain conditions. By engaging closely with patients, you will design and facilitate a personalized journey towards recovery that not only addresses physical limitations but also enhances overall patient well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A current, valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is essential.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on the license is acceptable.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques is necessary to deliver hands-on care effectively.
• Expertise in designing and implementing exercise programs specific to patient conditions and goals.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, to manage patient documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

We value candidates with experience in orthopedic outpatient settings and those who are proficient in administration and adjustments of therapy regimens based on individual patient responses and progress. Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration is also desired to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 , commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include:
