District Operations Supervisor

Job Overview The District Operations Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising the operations of a district office, which may include supervising customer service and equipment processing personnel and activities to achieve financial and operating objectives. The Supervisor provides supervisory direction to ensure that the delivery of equipment and services exceeds customer expectations and that staff follow the strategic direction set and all applicable operational regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, planning and direction to ensure business objectives and financial goals are achieved. Proactively support customer on‑site service and hold self and team accountable for timely completion of assignments and achieving expected results. Use effective conflict resolution skills to identify and resolve customer and staff concerns, discrepancies and disagreements. Oversee equipment management practices, including managing inventory and par levels consistent with contract terms, pricing and policies. Promote communication among team members to create visibility for internal staff and customers. Make sound and timely decisions based on data and analysis. Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of medical equipment and keep current with industry trends. Manage missing and lost equipment, software upgrades and accessories. Use available resources to ensure teams operate efficiently, including geographic routing and prioritization to service customers. Gain proficiency in systems and complete and maintain DOT certification. Oversee staffing levels and on‑call schedules based on demand. Recruit, train and develop employees, providing cross‑ and lateral training and ongoing feedback. Assist with account receivables collections and understand billing for account invoices. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and inspire others through positive commitment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment, maintain communication with other departments, comply with patient privacy laws, operate proactively toward safety, health and quality, strive for constant improvement of department efficiencies, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess strong time‑management and organizational skills. Educational Credentials and Experience Required Three years of management experience or work experience with demonstrated leadership, preferably in healthcare or the hospital industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Business and financial management expertise to assist with contract management and account margin maintenance, including P&L statement and budget management experience. Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and emergency off‑hours. Travel up to 50–75% and valid driver’s license required.
