Bring your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist to a rewarding part-time contract role serving K-12 students. This onsite opportunity, conveniently located near Silt, CO, runs from August 17th through June 3rd, 2027. You'll work within a supportive educational environment dedicated to helping every student succeed and grow through specialized OT support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Teaching License (CDE) required
- Occupational Therapist (OT) endorsement necessary
- Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly within K-12 educational settings
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in dynamic school environments
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor skills, sensory needs, and functional abilities impacting school performance
- Provide individualized and group OT interventions aligned with students' IEP goals
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings or related planning sessions
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, school staff, and family members to support student outcomes
- Develop creative strategies to promote independence, academic engagement, and social participation
- Stay current with OT best practices and educational guidelines
This contract opportunity offers a steady, part-time schedule of 20 hours per week in a collaborative school setting. You’ll work directly with a diverse K-12 caseload, making a meaningful impact every day.
