Key Responsibilities\n

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and mental health standards.

• Conduct regular meetings with clients to monitor their progress, discuss stability, review upcoming appointments, and plan for discharge when clinically appropriate.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate tailored, person-centered treatment plans, adjusting strategies as deemed necessary to optimize client outcomes.

• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to gauge client needs and begin developing personalized treatment approaches.

• Document all client interactions meticulously through progress notes and treatment documentation to ensure compliance with clinical standards.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address various mental health challenges.

• Engage in individual supervision sessions to promote continuous professional growth and ensure adherence to best practices.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Shelby County Counseling Center, you will primarily work with youth and adolescents facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and substance abuse.
