About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Level IV NICU; Cardiac PICU experience preferred License: State license required (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand prior to start) Certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience; must work every other weekend and every other holiday; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays; must be competent in caring for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics; experience in a multidisciplinary team Description: Cross posting for job ID. This position includes working in the NICU and potentially other areas of the children's hospital. The Respiratory Therapist should be comfortable assisting in high-risk deliveries. The unit has a self-scheduling model that will be explained during the call. The therapist will be part of an interdisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills. Candidates must be skilled in the use of various respiratory equipment and techniques. The position involves working with various patient populations, including neonates, infants, and pediatrics. Must possess strong knowledge in respiratory diagnostics and treatment protocols. Experience with complex congenital heart issues and care for patients requiring ECMO is preferred. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of both Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. The position will involve rotating through different units as needed.
