About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to provide enterprise-wide leadership in administrative infrastructure, business operations, workforce oversight, and organizational compliance systems. The CAO will be a core member of the Executive Management Team, ensuring that the company's administration is in full alignment with its mission, values, and strategic vision. This role involves leading the organization's administrative compliance infrastructure, chairing the Executive Compliance Committee, and serving as the designated administrative link between specialized domain leads, the CEO, and the Board of Directors. The CAO will also be responsible for maintaining strict regulatory compliance, overseeing human resources, and managing labor and administrative operations. Candidates for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field, with a minimum of 7-10 years' of executive or senior administrative leadership experience in public health, community health centers, or safety-net healthcare settings. The role requires a deep commitment to serving urban, low-income, and marginalized communities of color, as well as a strong background in HR and labor oversight, grant and contract management, and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ecosystem leadership, with the ability to navigate complex municipal, county, and safety-net environments, and a preference for those with existing professional networks in the San Jose and Santa Clara County areas. The CAO must be a mission-driven leader, with a focus on public health, and possess exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, board reporting, and coalition-building.
