HR Benefits Specialist - Boston, MA We are seeking candidates for an HR Benefits Specialist position with a leading investment management firm in Boston, MA. The HR Benefits Specialist will support day-to-day benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries, serving as a primary point of contact for benefits-related questions. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and efficient administration of employee benefit programs. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in benefits administration, human resources, or client services, preferably within a professional services environment. This is a 3+ month contract position paying $27-32/hour, depending on experience, with a 40-hour workweek. The role follows a hybrid schedule at the firm's Boston office. Responsibilities Support the administration of global benefits programs, including healthcare, dental, retirement, insurance, work/life programs, professional development, and deferred compensation plans. Conduct plan audits, validate data, and prepare analyses and reports for U.S.-based benefits programs. Assist with U.S. and international benefits administration, projects, and special initiatives. Manage reimbursement requests and processing for professional development programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate support. Coordinate vendor invoicing and assist with open enrollment activities. Prepare materials for benefits committee meetings and compile quarterly statistics and reports. Support reimbursement programs, audit requirements, and other benefits-related initiatives. Contribute to ad hoc projects focused on improving benefits processes and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field required. 0-2+ years of experience in human resources, client services, benefits administration, or a related field; internships will be considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Workday is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity while meeting deadlines.
