Adult Transplant Intensive Care Unit University Hospital's Transplant Intensive Care Unit (TICU) is an 8‑16 bed post abdominal transplant floor. The Registered Nurse on this unit would take care of a variety of patients such as liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine, and multi‑visceral transplant recipients. An ideal candidate would enjoy a fast‑paced work environment with high acuity patients. Use of FloTrac devices Blood gas interpretations EKG Interpretation and Arrhythmia management Trained in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Management of vasopressors Intubated patient care Immunosuppression therapy for transplant patients Unit Highlights Excellent teamwork Employee Spotlight Meaningful Recognition board; creating a healthy work environment by celebrating wins, fostering education, and providing a helping atmosphere. Strong Professional Governance structure – falls, infection prevention, skin, patient satisfaction Qualifications Requires an Associate's of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Certified RN candidates who did not graduate from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience. These exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Why Join IU Health?
