Job Title: Inventory Technician / Forklift

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

1st Shift

Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.

$17.00/hour

Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material and supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Counts material and supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
• Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material and supplies, and computes inventory balance.
• Prepares reports such as inventory balance and shortages.
• Perform on demand counts as needed when requested.
• Assist staging department on locating any material that they are unable to locate while performing production set up.
• Perform Lot Code and Amount counts needed for Global inventory management requested via count system.
• Monitor and reply to any inventory discrepancy emails.
• Assist with removing disposals from the plant in conjunction with other inventory positions.
• Assist with finished material counts and record keeping as needed.
• Licensed Forklift driver.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and have the ability to input data into a computer and Inventory software.
