Production Shift Manager - Nights Location: Boston Salary: c£50,000 Benefits: Pension + Sharesave + Qualifications Shift Pattern: Tuesday – Saturday 6pm-2am We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a leading UK food manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and people-focused leader to take responsibility for driving operational performance, delivering production targets, and developing high-performing teams within a modern manufacturing facility. The Role As Production Shift Manager, you will lead and manage production operations across your shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production plans while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching, and developing production teams to achieve operational targets and business objectives. Ensuring production schedules are delivered safely, on time, and in full. Promoting a positive health, safety, quality, and food safety culture across the operation. Monitoring and improving key performance indicators including productivity, waste, efficiency, and labour utilisation. Managing staffing levels and resources to maximise operational performance. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and reduce costs. Working collaboratively with engineering, technical, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operational performance. Managing employee performance, engagement, training, and development activities. Driving accountability and fostering a culture of teamwork, ownership, and high performance. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a Production Shift Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership position. Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large operational teams. Strong understanding of health & safety, quality, and operational best practices. Experience managing KPIs and delivering measurable improvements in performance. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills. A hands‑on leadership style with a proactive and results‑driven approach. What's on Offer?
