Manager, Residential Sales

Position Summary 

IQ Fiber is seeking a Manager, Residential Sales to drive residential sales performance in the market by leading a direct sales team. This role is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and coaching a high-performing team to become the local experts on fiber and broadband service in each neighborhood, with the primary objective of growing IQ Fiber’s customer base in serviceable areas. 

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances field presence with strategic execution, working closely with Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Community Development to capitalize on sales opportunities across the full customer journey. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute a direct sales strategy to capture market share, grow revenue, and generate profitable business across all residential product categories. 

• Hire, train, and coach a high-performing direct sales team to increase penetration in build areas, assigning territories and maximizing production within each. 

• Inspire and motivate the residential sales team to consistently meet monthly sales targets through accountability and recognition. 

• Plan and execute private community sales initiatives, building relationships with property managers to market within communities and expand network presence. 

• Lead and support Senior Sales and Events Advisors in creating IQ Fiber sales events and community partnerships to expand distribution opportunities across the team. 

• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Community Development to optimize the customer experience and capitalize on sales opportunities throughout the customer journey. 

• Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks, adjusting strategy as needed. 

• Analyze sales data to design accurate targets and forecasts aligned with operational goals and the company’s overall growth strategy. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential telecommunications sales. 

• Proven track record delivering B2C sales results; alternate channel experience a plus. 

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance sales team. 

• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a high-change, fast-paced environment. 

• Ability to effectively negotiate agreements across business, legal, and engineering dimensions. 

• Ability to collaborate across departments to drive initiatives and measurable results. 

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, department heads, vendors, and other stakeholders at all levels. 

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across audiences with strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills. 

What Success Looks Like  

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual residential sales targets are consistently met or exceeded through strong team leadership, coaching, and accountability. 

• Market share and customer penetration grow in serviceable and build areas, driven by a clear and consistently executed direct sales strategy. 

• Field productivity improves through optimized territory assignments and disciplined neighborhood-level execution. 

• A repeatable engine of events and community partnerships generates steady lead flow and expands distribution opportunities for the team. 

• Cross-functional coordination with Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Community Development is tight, and forecasts are accurate and aligned with company growth objectives.
