If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is now hiring for a full-time Prep cook position. The Prep position requires weekend availability and will report directly to Kitchen Manager and will also be given direction from other managers on duty.The current schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday - 12p-7pDay-to-Day Performance Expectations:Execute prep list as written by chef or lead prep.Note the order in which tasks are to be completed.Provide support for coworkers in order to ensure prep is being done efficiently.Follow all recipes and techniques in food preparation.Be another set of eyes on product/Mom testProvide constructive feedback for the staffHandle food and clean stations per standard sanitation procedures.Assist with kitchen upkeep and deep cleaning tasks when production list is completeHelp maintain an orderly and clean kitchenSkills for Qualification:Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs.Ability to use all kitchen utensils safely, including knives, ovens, slicers, etc.Must be able to maintain grooming and uniform standardsExcellent sense of urgency and hospitalityAbility to recognize when and where further cleaning up to our standardsAbility to take feedback and directionWillingness to work in a team and help all other departments, as neededWork Environment:Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises and machinery.Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperaturesWe do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests.This position has an average starting compensation of $17.50 per hour.
