Details Acute care hospital setting on the Medical Surgical Oncology unit 233 staffed beds Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Patient ratios of 1:5-6 Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation) No on-call responsibilities Floating required within service line Navy scrub color required Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required (must match permanent residence for compact) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Nursys Fire safety certification required Epic charting experience required Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, isolation precautions/PPE Preferred skills: accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, PCA medication management Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing Additional Information Provide nursing care to Medical Surgical Oncology patients including telemetry monitoring First-time travelers are welcome to apply No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment Additional RTO beyond 7 days requires manager approval Standard travelers residing outside the 75-mile radius may work up to 18 months before a required 3-month break in service Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler 13-week contract length is firm American Traveler Job ID P-734216.
