Devops Engineer

A "jack of all trades" with a strong understanding of alerting, monitoring, and how applications function.
Nice to have: IBM Tivoli Manager (ITM)
Some development bkgrd is required.
The ability to jump in and handle reporting tasks and other project-related initiatives as delegated.
Execute migrations across non-prod and prod environments
Manage cutover, rollback, and validation activities
Troubleshoot issues across application, DB, and infrastructure layers
Develop automation using Java/Python/.NET
Support deployment (Harness), configuration, and data validation automation CI/CD, OCP
UNIX/Linux Support
Manage and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux environments
Perform system validation and performance checks
Database Migration
Migrate DB configurations and data (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Perform validation, reconciliation, and connectivity checks
Coordinate with DBA teams
Infrastructure & Networking
Configure DNS, load balancing, and firewall rules
Support integration with target data center
Job Scheduling
Manage and validate AutoSys jobs
Ensure batch processing stability post-migration
Observability
Perform Splunk onboarding
Validate logging, alerting, and monitoring
Testing & Validation
Execute QA, smoke, and post-migration testing
Identify and remediate defects
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams
Produce migration status reports and dashboards
Ensure audit-ready documentation
*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $75.00/hr.
