Job Description

The Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a compassionate environment, focusing on the geriatric population. The role involves assessing patient conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and implementing care plans tailored to meet individual patient needs in a dedicated psychiatric unit.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage treatment protocols.
• Provide emotional support and de-escalate situations as necessary.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in behavioral health and geriatric care preferred.
• Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in team settings.
