Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

The Maintenance I position performs general and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, structures and grounds within the Distribution Center property line .

Responsibilities

• Complete general repairs and routine preventative maintenance.

• Assist DC Maintenance Manager with troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery.

• Perform basic inspections and ensure all hazardous materials are stored safely.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Job Skills

• Be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Understanding the metric system.

• Basic understanding of hand, power and shop tools.

• Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

• General administrative, organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

• Eligible to work in the United States.

• At least 6 months of related experience.

• Willingness to work various shifts, departments and locations as needed.

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Must possess or pass the Basic Mechanical and Industrial Mechanical Skill Assessment.

Ideal Candidates

• Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) .

• Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively.

• Experience in maintenance, construction or other related field.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Education

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses

• Post-hire certification may be required to comply with safety standards as mandated by law to operate machinery or equipment .
