This facility is Richmond's largest delivery center, featuring a state-of-the-art 40-bed Level III NICU designed around a single-family room model that prioritizes family-centered care. The hospital is supported by on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists, a nurse-led neonatal transport team, and a highly collaborative, innovative team committed to excellence in neonatal care.

Opportunity:
Board Certified/Board Eligible – Neonatology

Job Details:

• Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU environment
• Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists providing continuous 24/7 in-house coverage
• Utilize advanced therapies including HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergency situations
• Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model that prioritizes family-centered care
• Focus exclusively on NICU patients with no requirement to cover the newborn nursery
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and collaborative clinical research
• Contribute to a team culture that values innovation, education, and compassionate family support
• Weekend coverage included as part of the 24/7 in-house rotation schedule
• Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
• Board Certification in Pediatrics required
• Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain required
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
