EHS Specialist

Our client, a global manufacturer, is seeking an EHS Specialist to join their team in Maplewood, MN. As a EHS Specialist, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety department supporting the R&D community. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset. Job Title: EHS Specialist Location: Maplewood, MN 55144 (100% Onsite, M-F, Standard Working Hours) Pay Rate: $25.46/HR + Benefits Contract Duration: 12-Months W2 Contract, potential to extend Job Functions Serve as the primary EHS contact for assigned divisions within the 3M Center R&D community Lead EHS risk assessments, coordinating with subject matter experts as needed Act as Hazardous Waste Coordinator, including updating waste stream profiles for new materials Conduct exposure assessments and evaluate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements Lead and perform routine EHS inspections Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field 2+ years of experience in EHS, preferably within a laboratory, manufacturing, or R&D environment Knowledge of hazardous waste management regulations (RCRA and related guidelines) Experience conducting risk assessments, exposure assessments, and PPE evaluations Familiarity with EHS compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, or similar) Benefits Opportunity to work onsite within a dynamic, innovation-driven organization Potential for long-term contract extension up to 5 years Engagement in meaningful EHS programs that promote safety and compliance Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals committed to continuous improvement Gain valuable experience supporting cutting-edge research and development activities Medical and Prescription Drug Plans Dental Plan Vision Plan Health Savings Account Health Flexible Spending Account Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Supplemental Life Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance Business Travel Insurance 401(k), Plus Match Weekly Pay If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
