Our client, a growing and well-established Dallas law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Word Processor to join its document production team. This is a 100% remote opportunity supporting attorneys and legal professionals across multiple practice areas and offices. The ideal candidate is someone who knows the legal environment, has advanced Microsoft Word skills, and takes pride in producing polished, accurate documents under tight deadlines.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, edit, format, and proofread a variety of legal documents and correspondence
• Work with attorneys and staff to ensure documents are accurately formatted and completed within required deadlines
• Handle complex Microsoft Word formatting, including styles, numbering, cross-references, tables of contents, tables of authorities, footnotes, and tracked changes
• Convert and clean up documents between Microsoft Word and PDF formats
• Prepare and organize electronic documents, including bookmarked and hyperlinked PDFs and e-binders
• Create and modify presentations, spreadsheets, charts, and other supporting materials as needed
• Assist with document comparisons, revisions, and other litigation or transactional document-production projects
• Troubleshoot formatting and document-related issues and help identify efficient solutions
• Manage multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

What You Bring

• Prior law firm experience is required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of document formatting, styles, numbering, tables, cross-referencing, track changes, and document automation
• Familiarity with document management systems, preferably NetDocuments
• Excellent proofreading and quality-control skills
• Ability to type 80+ words per minute
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Professional communication skills and a strong service-oriented approach
• Experience with Litera, DocXtools, BigHand, Adobe Acrobat, Draftable, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, or Photoshop is a plus, but not required.
